diy tumblr room decor that is super cute,really easy, and also really cheap to make, so i really hope you guys enjoy all of thesediy room decor ideas, and without further ado, let's get started! candles and fairy lights are a super easyway to make your room look cute and tumblr, so i decided to fancy up my little candlesby wrapping them in washi tape! make sure that you align the washi tape with the topof the candle, and fold any extra washi tape under so it's secure. this is a super easyway to make plain candles way more fun and interesting, and you can put them all overyour room for a tumblr vibe! this next diy are these super easy and colorfulvases of flowers! to make the vases, you'll
just need an empty soda bottle, paint in whatevercolor you want, and a paint brush or sponge! just paint the outsides of your bottles inthe colors you want, or you can spray paint the insides! to make the paper flowers, you'llneed some tissue paper, wire, hot glue, and paint. fold a full sized piece of tissue paperin half, and accordion fold it in 1/2 inch sections, then cut it in half. now fold apiece of wire in a loop, and twist it together leaving a loop at the top for the tissue paper.put the tissue paper through the loop, and paint the edges of the paper before openingup and separating the layers into a flower! i made six of these flowers, and arrangedthem in the painted vases for a super cute pop of color in my room!
diy room decor: tumblr inspired! cute + cheap! this first diy is this gorgeous dreamcatcher,which is actually surprisingly easy to make, and seriously so tumblr! all you need to makeit is one ring of an embroidery hoop, thick and thin ribbon in coordinating colors, beads,feathers in different sizes and colors, and hot glue. start by cutting a very long pieceof the thicker ribbon, gluing one end of it to the embroidery hoop, then wrapping it tightlyaround the embroidery hoop until the whole hoop is covered, then gluing the other endin place. now cut a long piece of the thin ribbon, glue one end on to the hoop, and begintying the ribbon around the hoop, leaving about an inch of ribbon loose in between eachloop. once you've looped all the way around
the hoop, start the second row of loops bythreading the ribbon through the loops you made. continue weaving the ribbon throughthe rows of loops you made, and start pulling the ribbon tighter as you get closer to thecenter of the hoop. this seems a little confusing, but trust me, once you try it you'll get it!if you want to add some extra bling, you can just thread the ribbon through some beadsas you go, and continue looping as usual. when you only have a small hole in the centerof the weave, pull the ribbon tight, the tie the end, cut off the excess, and hot glueit to make sure it stays in place. now cut yourself some shorter pieces of the thin ribbon,and glue feathers into one end of a bead, then glue the end of the ribbon to the otherend of the bead, and repeat the same thing
with another bead and more feathers on theother end of the ribbon. keep repeating this with about 6 pieces of ribbon, and if youwant you can string some charms and extra beads on to the ribbon as you go. once you'vefinished all the ribbons, fold them in half one by one, and loop them around the hoopand bring the feathered ends through the closed end of the loop so they're secure. to hangyour dreamcatcher, just tie a piece of ribbon to the top, and that's it! i absolutely lovehow this turned out, and it's seriously my new favorite decoration! you can make yourdream catcher with whatever colors you want, and you could even make a bunch in a rainbowof colors to hang on your wall! next up is this super cute painted light upinitial! i got this letter c light from ankit,
and since my room has a teal and turquoisetheme, i taped the edges of the inside of the light, and then i painted the outsideof the light teal. you can really easily paint any wooden piece of decor like this... ifyou have a picture frame or wooden light stand, try customizing them with your own shade ofpaint! to make this floral hairpiece wreath, allyou need is a foam wreath form from a craft store, some yarn, a pair of scissors, hotglue, feathers if you want, and floral hair accessories and bows! wrap the wreath formwith yarn until it's completely covered, and hot glue the ends securely in place. now addthe feathers to the inside and outside of the wreath form by hot gluing them to theyarn. tie a loop of yarn to the wreath to
