hey guys today i'm gonna be making sort ofa reverse design or i guess you can call it a scratch off phone case. i know it's common to see colorful cases withblack designs, but for this case, it's gonna be the reverse effect. i suggest using a black case, but i guessit doesn't really matter since you'll be painting over it anyway. so now i'm just starting off by painting mycase a bunch of different colors. i'm going to first paint random spots on thecase, using only one color. then i'm gonna repeat this step using 3-4other different colors until the entire case
is painted. after the paint dried, i got some clear tapeto cover up the entire section i just painted. when you're applying the tape, try to applyit as straight as possible to avoid bubbles and raised lines. use scissors to cut off the excess tape thatsticks out. for this next step i'm going to use blackpaint to paint over the tape. after the black paint dries, you can startdrawing your designs. you can use something like a toothpick orthe edge of a paint brush, but i just used the tip of a mechanical pencil.
and i didn't really know what designs i wantedto draw, so i just drew random patterns. i just thought this diy case was somethinginteresting and different, and thought it had a pretty cool reverse looking effect.
