KITCHEN BACKSPLASH IDEAS FOR BROWN GRANITE COUNTERTOPS
here at inspired led we occasionallyget phone calls about lighting glare on granite andsimilar surfaces. for now we'll call it that dot effect. granite is like a mirror and whateverlight you put above it, it will reflect. whether it be an ledstrip or you use some type of diffuser. here we will discuss how youcan eliminate this effect while keeping the same amount of light.underneath your cabinets. first, if you have cabinets with frames, use a tool such as a oscillating multi-tools saw attachment to cut about a quarter to a half-inch notch.
then, measure the legnth of your cabinets and subtract one and a half inches from each side to enable the power supply or additionalcables to be plugged into the end of the strips. place your flex strip on the lip of thecabinet facing the backsplash. use masking tape to temporarily placethe flex strips before using the adhesive backing. the half inch knot allows you to run one continuous strip along your cabinet lip and the strips are flexible enough tobend around corners. plug in your power supply to ensureperfect lighting placement. if you like your flex strip replacement, secure with the adhesive backing.
now, your leds are facing the backsplash. inspired led's lights will give you enough under cabinet lighting plus, eliminates theglare, or dot effect, on granite and other similar surfaces. questions? email us at infot@inspiredled.com or visit our website at www.inspiredled.com
