blue is the most popular color, especiallyfor bedrooms. it’s so tranquil and calming. it’s perfect for relaxation. now in thisbedroom we used nimbus gray on the walls. but don't let the gray name fool you. it reallyis a beautiful blue with just a bit of a gray undertone. it’s also the perfect depth ofblue. it’s not too light; it’s not too dark. it’s the perfect compliment to themore rich furnishings that we have in this room. now in this variation we’ve treatedthings a little more traditionally. you want to really consider the ceiling inyour bedroom. we’ve used white dove on the ceiling here and we’ve carried that downonto the trim. now when you use white you just want to make sure you balance it out.so we’ve repeated it on the window treatments
and the linens.while the refreshing blue and white scheme was very tranquil and peaceful in the masterbedroom, i personally love the sophistication and depth of stardust on the walls. now it’sa much more tone-in-tone feel this time. and when you’re using an almost monochromaticpallet like this it’s important to really play around with various textures and patterns.and to add a little bit of pop contrast we used white dove on the crown molding. nowwhat i love about that is it really showcases the gorgeous farm fresh on the ceiling whichjust adds a beautiful glow to this master bedroom.[end of audio]
